Obituary of ADILIA SANTOS FRAZAO
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Adilia on November 29, 2017 at Poseidon Care Centre with her husband of 64 years Antonio by her side.
Adilia was predeceased by her parents, Antonio Rosa Vicente and Hedviges Santos Da Rosa and her brother Arnaldo Vicente.
Adilia is survived by her husband, Antonio, son Agostinho (Aggie), daughter-in-law Brenda and granddaughter Kristina, Adilia's Joy. She is survived by her brother Adolfo(Eva) of Portugal and her sister Clarisse (Jose) of Hartford, Connecticut; sister-in-law Gloria Vicente and numerous nieces and nephews.
Adilia was born in Serra de Santo Antonio, Portugal on November 15, 1934.
Adilia joined her husband in Winnipeg in 1963 with their son. Her passion for sewing led her to work in the garment industry. Adilia was involved in the Portuguese community where she made ever lasting friendships. She spent many summers at her home in Portugal with her friends and family.
Our family thanks the wonderful staff on the 4th floor of Poseidon Care Centre for their kindness and compassionate care.
Prayers will be held at 6:00 p.m. at the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on Tuesday, December 5. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 181 Austin St N. at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 6. Interment will follow in the Assumption Cemetery.
