Peacefully on December 22nd 2017 at Middlechurch Personal Care Home, our beloved sister, aunt, great aunt and friend, passed away.
Eleanor was born in Winnipeg on August 31, 1931 to Jack and Anna Weber.
She was predeceased by her parents, her brother-in-law Don Shaw and her beloved dog Skooter.
She is survived by her loving sister Doreen Shaw, her nephews Don (Sharon), Doug (Debbie), Ken (Pety) and niece Laurie (Doug) and their families, all of southern California and Winnipeg nephew Dave Shaw.
In her younger days Eleanor and her sister Doreen performed on stage and radio as the Weber Sisters.
Eleanor was employed and retired from CPR (Superintendent’s office).
After retirement she maintained her beautiful yard and took up painting classes.
She gave up her home in 2014 due to illness.
The family would like to thank Home Care and the caring staff at Middlechurch Home.
She will be sadly missed.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Winnipeg Humane Society or a charity of your choice.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow in the spring.
