SEBASTIAO ESTEVES
November 26, 1930 – January 07, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather, Sebastiao Esteves on Sunday, January 7, 2018.
He was predeceased by his parents, Josefa and Manuel; brother Sergio; and sister-in law Serafina. He is survived by his wife Fernanda of 58 years; his son Julio (Josie), son Joe (Samantha); daughter Meggie (Augusto); his grandchildren, Jozefa, Michayla, Diogo, Peter, Keeyanah, and Jherzi. He also leaves to mourn his brother Julio (Aida); and his sisters in Portugal, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Sebastiao was born November 28, 1930 in Minho, Portugal. Sebastiao immigrated to Canada in 1957; he worked numerous jobs in various regions of Canada before settling in Winnipeg, where he worked for Swift Packers for 15 years and finished his career with Custom Packers.
Sebastiao’s passion was wine making, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
We would like to thank the staff at the Maples Personal Care Home for the compassion and care provided over the last few years.
