Obituary of LOUISE MALYK

LOUISE MALYK (Nee Rolski) On Wednesday, August 29, 2012 at the Grace Hospital, Louise passed away at the age of 93 years. Louise is survived by daughter Andrea "Panda" (Ron) Kawchuk; her son Michael "Mickey" (Carol) Malyk; five grandchildren Risa, Chris, Cara, Michael and Holly; five great grandchildren; nieces and nephew Penny, Kitten, Susie and Dennis and many friends in the deaf community. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew Malyk and her sister Adella Vitt (nee Rolski). Louise was an avid 5 pin bowler, excellent bridge player, wicked scrabble player, wrote the newsletter for the Deaf Seniors Club of Winnipeg and loved reading and travelling. She also enjoyed knitting, casinos and a glass of Sangria. She worked at Sanford Evans for over 10 years. Special thanks to the staff at Lions Place and Lions PCC. After cremation, interment was held at St. Mary’s Polish National Cemetery, alongside her parents Joseph and Agnes Rolski. "Don’t be sad because it’s over, be happy that it happened."
