Obituary of HAROLD “BALLZY” AMOS

HAROLD (BALLZY) AMOS

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our brother Harold on January 20, 2018 . Harold passed away surrounded by those who loved him after a week long battle in the hospital. He passed due to an enlarged heart. But anyone who knew him could attest to the size of his heart.

Harold used his big heart for many things, including: treating any kid that crossed his path as a niece or nephew, and giving to anyone who needed help. He would genuinely give the shirt off his back, and the last dollar in his pocket if someone needed it. He exuded love and kindness in everything he did, greatly impacting those who had the honour of knowing him.

Throughout his life, Harold enjoyed watching movies (and soap operas), with his popcorn and drinks, with friends. He enjoyed spending time with his children, nieces, and nephews. He loved to “story tell” with his friends, and family, reliving the shenanigans of his past, and sometimes present. "We" his friends and family, will also miss him at the poker table. Where he regularly made a donation with his bad play, "worst poker player in history". Harold will be remembered as a guy who always tried to keep everyone happy, a guy that was very head strong, stubborn, and would do anything to get out of doing some real work.

Harold left behind too many people to list. Many best friends, many brothers, many sisters, and who can forget that 6 foot 7 inch man, 340 plus lbs, carrying around that little  4 pound 6 inch dog "Roxy".  But he only had one mom and dad- Lenny and Vicky.

Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 3 at 12:00  p.m. noon with viewing starting at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
