Obituary of EVELYN ELEANORE REMPEL
It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our GG, Evelyn, at the Selkirk General Hospital at the age of 81 years.
She is predeceased by her parents, her brother Sidney, her first husband George Rempel and second husband, Albert King. Eve is survived by her two sisters and her four children; Cheryle (Pat), Christine (Don), George (Lou) and Lisa (Jack). Also morning her passing are her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Evelyn was born and raised in Maple Ridge, BC. Shortly after graduating high school, she joined the Royal Canadian Air Force, where she met her first husband. Upon his retirement, the family settled down in Winnipeg, MB and together they started their own business, Keewatin Ceramics. Years after the passing of her first husband, she met Albert. The two hit it off and they soon became inseparable. It was very clear to all of us that they were soul mates. They did everything together including ceramics, gardening, fishing and darts, just to name a few things. They even played Legends of Zelda together with Albert playing and Evelyn telling him what to do and where to go.
For her 80th Birthday, her sister, Janet, came out for a surprise visit with the news that she had found their long lost sister, Deanne. Unfortunately, Evelyn was never able to meet her, but they were able to write each other.
Evelyn will be remembered and dearly missed by all who knew her.
