Jean was born on the farm. She moved to the city at an early age. She worked as a domestic for a number of years for one family. She met and married her husband Mike and raised her family. After his death in 1968 she started to work as a waitress at the A.N.A.F. VETERANS CLUB UNIT 60. She moved on to become a bartender at Unit 60, where she became affectionately known as "MEAN JEAN", because of her no nonsense attitude. In her spare time she enjoyed her grandchildren and family times. Up until her death she enjoyed dancing and numerous activities at various Veterans clubs, where she made many friends. She also enjoyed gardening and preserving, which she always shared with others.
The family would like to thank the people at the scene for their help and kindness, Paramedics, Kelly and staff at the Concordia Hospital.
