1948-2018
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father and grandfather Virginio Raulino on Monday, February 26, 2018
Virginio will be mourned by his beloved wife of 44 years Liduina, son Paulo (Sonya), granddaughters Alyssa and Ashley, mother-in-law Liduina Oliveira, several sister, brothers, in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends in Portugal, the United States and Canada.
Virginio was born in Sao Miguel, Acores on September 23, 1948. He immigrated to Winnipeg in January of 1972 to build a better life for himself and his future wife. In July of 1973, he married his love Liduina in their home town of Lagoa, Sao Miguel and together they returned to Winnipeg to start their new life together.
He worked most of his life as a cook at HSC Hospital until his retirement in 2014.
Prayers will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin Street N. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 2 at 1:00 p.m. also at the church. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Ave West.
