Obituary of VIC (VICSKINZ) MINCOFF
VIC (VICSKINZ) MINCOFF
It is with profound heartbreak and sadness that the family announces the passing of Vic “Vicskinz” Mincoff after his battle with brain cancer on March 3, 2018. Vic was born in Montreal on March 21, 1950.
He leaves behind his wife Sheri; children Brandon (Jenny), Nathan, Victoria , Elsa (Patrick); grandchildren Katie, Dylan, Tatiana, Alexandra and Annabelle; mother Gertrude, brother Richard (Linda), sisters Diane (Doug), Terry (Ron) and Johanne; sisters-in-law Susan, Candy, Heather, Donece and Susie; brothers-in-law Richard, Bob, Brian, Stuart and Tom as well as many loved nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his father Michael “Mickey” Mincoff, stepfather Walter Wilamoski and brother-in-law Brian Wensink.
Vic had an accomplished career in information technology with different organizations throughout Canada and the United States; starting at Bell Canada in Montreal and coincidentally retiring from Bell MTS in Winnipeg on June 30, 2017. He maintained many friendships made during the course of his career.
Vic’s interests included cooking, fishing, golfing, singing, travelling and spending time with his friends and comrades at the West Kildonan Legion where he was notorious for record wins at the Saturday afternoon meat draws.
Family and friends were paramount in Vic’s life and whether they lived near or far they were always close to his heart.
A celebration of Vic’s life will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the West Kildonan Legion Branch 30, 1748 Main Street in the Banquet Hall. Reverend Mark Satterly officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a charity which is close to your heart.
