BARRY WILLIAM BIGUS

Barry William Bigus of Winnipeg, MB passed away peacefully at Riverview Health Centre on April 14, 2018 following a hard fought battle with cancer at the age of 73.

Barry was born in Winnipeg on March 8, 1945. Barry grew up in Ottawa, ON where he met his first wife and returned to Manitoba to work for Sherrit Gordon Mines in Lynn Lake. Not long after, Barry moved to Winnipeg to work for Manitoba Hydro as a draftsman, working his way up into policy and rates by the time he retired.

Barry is predeceased by his father William and mother Sophie. Left to mourn are his wife Cheryl; children, Jeffrey (Tammy), Treena (Ian) and Leonard (Amanda).  Barry also leaves behind grand-daughters, Markee (Jonathan) and Carson; and siblings Cheryl (Dana), Thomas and Darlene (Pip).

Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg with Reverend Chuck Ross officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association.
