Obituary of JAN SUSZKO
In Loving Memory of
JAN SUSZKO
Of Winnipeg Manitoba
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jan Suszko, resident of Winnipeg, Manitoba, on Wednesday, April 25, 2018, at Riverview Health Centre, at the age of 62 years.
Jan was born in Poland, on January 13, 1956. He grew up in a small farming community where he developed a love for the outdoors and a remarkable work ethic. He was a free spirit that lived for hunting, fishing and camping. Jan was a mechanic by trade with a knack for building and fixing things. When he wasn’t enjoying the outdoors he was always fixing cars, building cabins, trailers, ice shacks and helping friends and family with whatever they needed.
Family was always Jan’s priority. A chance at a better future for his kids is the reason why Jan, together with his wife, left everything behind and immigrated to Canada in the early 90’s. They started from nothing and through hard work and sheer determination built a thriving business providing their kids with endless opportunities. Jan was a loving husband, father, grandfather and uncle.
Jan will be sadly missed by his wife Krystyna Suszko; children: Marcin (Veronica) and Tomasz; grandchildren: Austin and Samara; brother Michal (Bozena); sisters: Irena; Stefania; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jan was predeceased by his parents Bazyli and Maria Suszko and sister Maria of Poland.
We would like to thank the staff at 2E Riverview Health Centre, and Health Sciences Centre and the many friends he had for their support.
Prayers will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
