Obituary of OLINDA VIEIRA
OLINDA VIEIRA
January 12, 1954 – April 30, 2018
It is with great sadness and regret that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, wife and vóvó, Olinda. The greatest mother on Earth who fought a long hard battle with lymphomangeal disease (cancer).
Olinda was born in Cavadinha, Portugal on January 12, 1954. She married her husband of 45 years, Leonel de Oliveira Vieira and immigrated to Canada in April, 1973. She is survived by her children, Celia (honorary son Chris), Leonel (Rebecca), Pedro (Catalina); grandchildren, Nico, Annalise, Tianna, Samantha, Tatiana, Hudson and Manuel; sisters, Julia and Fernanda and countless nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters in law. She is predeceased by her parents Joaquim da Fonseca Pereira, Gracinda de Jesus Abreu; brother Manuel Pereira and recently cousin Jose Pereira Batista and adored nephew Luis Freire.
Olinda was the type of person who could fully divide her attention to numerous people and each person would feel her undivided love. She gained employment in the culinary arts and reached to exceptional success. Olinda was proud of all the accomplishments she was recognized for, including Employment of the Year honors, but her greatest accomplishment was her three children. A woman who placed her mark on three hearts that will carry her memory and legacy forever.

For every time I think about you
