SHIRLEY ELIZABETH LAVALLEE

(NEE TRUTHWAITE)

December 23, 1948 - April 30, 2018

Peacefully with her family by her side, God saw fit to take Shirley home.

She was predeceased by her father William Truthwaite in 2009.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years John, mother Margaret, siblings Arthur, Linda (Rick).Joan Truthwaite, Sandra (Ken) Kurzydlo. Children Lisa (Gary), Anita (Rick), Wayne (Kelly). Grandchildren Alex, Ashley, Andy, James, Kallie, Jamie, Stuart, Elizabeth, Micheal, Katelyn, Jonathon. Brothers in law Lyman and Gerry Lavallee, sisters in law Loretta Ferbrache, Florence Lavallee, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews.

Shirley worked at home care for many years.  She loved people and animals especially cows. She always had a smile and a kind word for everyone.

 We would like to acknowledge all the family and friends that were a part of Shirley’s life through the years that brought her joy and happiness. A special thank you to all those people from Fisher Branch, Hodgson, Peguis and  surrounding area who were not  only friends but became family to her. The family would like to extend our gratitude to the doctors and staff at Seven oaks hospital for making Shirley’s last days comfortable.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442  Main Street.
