EDMUND DERKSEN
November 30, 1934 – May 22, 2018
With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Edmund (Ed) Derksen, at Charleswood Care Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Ed was predeceased by his parents, 6 brothers, 2 sisters, and his 2 sons Wayne, and Nelson, and ex wife Norma. He is survived by his daughters Adele Hansman, Juanita (Paul) Delorme, and Tara (Mark) Janes, grand children Shara, Darrel, Sean, Sharron, Kristin, Diane, Daniel, Lorelei, Everett, plus his many great grand children. Also survived by his brother George (Marlene) Derksen and Ann Plouffe plus many nieces and nephews.
Ed served in the RCAF for 24 years as a Communications Technician.He enjoyed sports, mostly on TV but was the happiest when golfing with his buddies Kane and John.
The family thanks the staff of Charleswood Care Centre for taking excellent care of Ed during his last months of life.
Cremation to be carried out and at Ed’s request there will be no service. Interment of ashes will be done on a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, 45 Hurst Way, Winnipeg Manitoba, R3T 0R3.
He will be greatly missed by his surviving family.
