Obituary of GIUSEPPE (JOSEPH) INGRILLI
GIUSEPPE (JOSEPH) INGRILLI
November 28, 1925 – June 4, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Joe Ingrilli on June 4, 2018 at the age of 92.
He was predeceased by the love of his life Santina (2015), his parents Francesco and Antonia, and his six brothers, most recently his brother Rosario earlier this year. He is survived by his children, Frank (Jacqueline), Anna (Elvis), Antonietta, Rosa and Tony (Tamara). Grandchildren, Joseph (Rocio), Jordan (Nadine), Alicia (Ben), Connor, Matthew, Amanda, Sienna and Santiago. Also his only great-grandchild Ana Maria who he was blessed to have met. His sister-in-law Sila Ingrilli and a number of in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Joe was born in Capo d’Orlando, Sicily. He came to Winnipeg in 1951. Convincing Santina to join him in 1955 at which time they married. Together they built a life in Canada and raised their five children.
Joe was a cement finisher by trade. But was an all around handyman. Having renovated his own homes. Joe built his own house and was always there to help others.
Joe always took pride with his garden every year, growing tomatoes for Santina to make sauce. He would compete every year with his brother for who made the best wine and grew the hottest peppers.
Dad put up a good fight up until the end. He is reunited with mom now. “Rest in peace, Dad.”
The family would like to thank all staff at Riverview and Holy Family. A special thanks to Nikki for your compassion in caring for our Dad.
