Obituary of JO-ANNE LINE DeGAGNE
JO-ANNE LINE DeGAGNE
Family and friends are mourning the loss of our beloved Jo-Anne, who left us early Friday, August 3, 2018.
She was predeceased by her parents, Madeleine and Charlie DeGagné, sisters Charlotte and Charline.
She is survived by siblings Dora (Bob) Cruden, Camille (Cheryl), Alain (Roberta), Monique (Marc) Bruneau, five nephews, four nieces, seven great niece and nephews, numerous family, friends, and coworkers.
Jo-Anne will always be remembered as full of character who no one will ever forget. Her dry wit and no nonsense approach to life was always a treat.
Jo-Anne was involved with Special Olympics and bowling, and they were her highlights, only second to her family. She never forgot a name or a face and everybody was a friend.
The siblings thank L’Arche for the 18 years she spent in the community, Visions of Independence for 15 years of care and support; as well as palliative care staff through the WRHA which allowed Jo-Anne to stay home to the end.
A very special thank you to Tammy, Brenda, Tamara, and Ann for all their care and support.
Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, August 8, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment to follow in St. Boniface Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Down Syndrome Society of Manitoba, Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba, or Visions of Independence are greatly appreciated.
