Obituary of JOHN KOSA
JOHN KOSA
June 20, 1964-August 2, 2018.
Our beloved husband, father, and brother was suddenly called home by God on August 2, 2018.
He was predeceased by parents Evelyn and Albert Kosa, brothers Richard and Greg and Grandparents.
He leaves behind his wife Elzbieta, son Steven and daughter Anna. His siblings Don Kosa, nephews Michael and Evan, niece Alisa; sister Mary Ann (Kevin) Sorenson; nieces Jennifer and Raven with their families, sister Therese (Michael) Brown; niece Lauren, nephews Aaron, Darryll, Taylor and David; brother Eddy (Lindsey) Kosa, nephews Joel (Carly), Mason (Leah), niece Klara; sister-in-law Maureen Kosa and many extended family members and friends.
John was a man of deep Catholic faith, a defender of life. He was a loving husband, overjoyed and honored to be a devoted father; he was so blessed to have 15 years of marriage. He wanted to be around the family gatherings and was ready to help anyone. He was a wonderful listener accepting and perceptive. He made people laugh just when things looked grim, and he was very witty. He loved to converse with people, to understand them and to make them feel respected. He was humble and real. He was a very tender hearted, forgiving gentleman. Going to church as a family was his joy. But he had a loud voice when playing sports. He especially loved cycling, skiing, soccer, and he played recreational hockey twice a week and he was a Jets fan. He loved family vacations. He loved throwing the ball with his children and loved taking them out biking, to the beach, park, and to see their concerts and recitals. He loved music; his favorite band was Rush and he got to see them live in concert. He loved live concerts of any kind, especially when his children were performing.
He loved nature and just to sit and look at a lake gave him joy. He worked at Standard Aero as a Quality Inspector for many years and enjoyed the people he worked with.
We love you so much John, Daddy. We will see you again. For now, may your soul delight as you see God face to face.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 14 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vital Roman Catholic Parish, 1629 Pembina Hwy, with interment to follow in Fort Garry Roman Catholic Cemetery, 826 Crescent Drive.
