Passed away quietly at home. Predeceased by his parents Adelard Blackburn and Jeannette Chouinard.Predeceased by his wife Dora Hupe and his 2nd wife Adrienne.
Children: Renee (Robert Schultz); Donald (deceased); Ricky; Jacqueline Blackburn (Charlie); Maurice Blackburn (Pam) Lorraine (deceased); Nicole (deceased) (Andy Stewart); Jacques Blackburn (Li Jun). He was the oldest of his siblings. Sisters: Lola Blackburn (deceased) (Maurice Latreille (husband); Diane Blackburn - Marcel Duval (husband); Renée Blackburn; Danielle Blackburn; Paule Blackburn (deceased) Brothers: Raynald Blackburn (passed away); Reginald Blackburn (deceased) (Louise Girard- passed away); André Blackburn (Rita – deceased); Denis Blackburn (Margo Laberge); Camille Blackburn (Gaétane); He also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews, grandchildren, great grand children and a great great granddaughter.
He loved to square dance, bowling, bingo calling and playing cards, belonged to Knights of Columbus for a few years, worked in the Air Force for 21 years and Bristol Aerospace for 22 years.
Funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 21 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish, 778 Archibald St., St. Boniface. Interment will be at St. Boniface Cemetery. A lunch will be held at the church at 1:00 p.m.
We would like to thank all his doctors and nurses, home care workers and staff at the Cathedral Manor where Dad resided. We also would like to thank our brother Jacques for all the care he did looking after dad for the last 10 years or so, thank you Jacquo for all you did help.
