Obituary of ANTONIO COSTA FRAZAO
ANTONIO COSTA FRAZAO
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Antonio, on September 12, 2018 at Poseidon Care Centre.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joao Valentim Frazao and Ana Dos Anjos Costa and brothers Manuel Batista Frazao, Joaquim Batista Frazao (Olinda) and his wife Adilia.
Antonio is survived by son Agostinho (Aggie), daughter-in-law Brenda and granddaughter Kristina. He is survived by his sister Maria Ana Frazao, of Portugal and numerous nieces and nephews.
Antonio was born in Serra de Santo Antonio, Portugal on March 29, 1927.
After arriving in Montreal in 1957 Antonio then moved to Winnipeg and was one of the first Portuguese immigrants. After a few trips back home Antonio was joined in 1963 by his wife Adilia and their son. Manitoba’s hydro projects and growth gave Antonio the opportunity to never be unemployed in the construction industry where he worked. Like many of his generation the move to Canada impacted and enriched the lives of many immediate family members and others. Antonio was involved in the Portuguese community, where he made ever lasting friendships. Antonio spent many summers at his home in Portugal with friends and family.
Our family thanks the wonderful 4th floor staff of Poseidon Care Centre for their kindness and compassionate care. They have been a part of our family.
