Tato, as I have always called him, has been a part of my life for almost 60 years. He was like a second father to me who never hesitated to offer his advise on how to manage my life. When he was over at my home he wold carefully review my gardens and “gently” suggest that I could weed more and that I needed a man in my life to do it for me. In the meantime, even though he was in his late 80’s, he offered to help me with my yard work.
When he was at my place a few years ago having a light snack outdoors my patio umbrella flew off and landed on my roof. We had a hard time convincing him he didn’t need to climb on my roof to retrieve it. It was a good thing my ladder was “broken”.
He was a boisterous out going man once he knew you and was a loveing man even to me, his adopted daughter.
