My heart goes out to the family of Lea as she was a truly an inspiration to all with her encouraging outlook on life. Even though we had never met we shared a special bond as my daughter is also named Leah Marie. I shall miss her showing of quilt projects and of course her ongoing kitty tales.I only wish I had met you in person to tell you what a special lady you are. May God be with you my quilting sister.

I am truely saddened by the news. Praying for the family and friends who were close enough to be with Lea. She always had some sage advice when we spoke via messages. She was concerned for all of us on our quilting forum..We considered her a friend and tried to reassure her that she was loved when she thought she wasnt.. She returned the favor loving us the same...she will be missed...

I was so sorry to hear about Lea’s passing. She was so attentive to others feelings - even going out of her way to mail me a card during a particularly hard time in my life. She will be missed. My prayers and condolences to her family.

I only knew Leah from the Quilt in a day forum. I miss her daily emals. I followed her daily but did not respond as often as I should have. I regret this so much now. I will always hold her in great admiration for her encouragement and generousity to others. She always placed herself before others. She was always uplifting others. She made my days better . We can do for others as she did and keep her memory going.. You and your kittens were loved by all. YOU were truly a blessing to us all.
Rest now in the Lord.
Till we meet again,

“God, thank you for being with us right now. We confess that we don’t understand why things happen the way they do. We don’t understand why illness comes into our lives, but we do know that you walk every path of life with us. Remind us that you are walking with us right now. Give us your strength as we say good bye. God, we thank you that you never leave us, that you never forsake us, but you love us. We trust you, and pray this in your name. Amen.”

Our Quilt in a Day community won't be the same without our Lea and her stories of her kitties. She always made me, a fellow cat person, laugh. Lea was very kind and always willing to share whatever she had, making clothing or quilts for others. She always had an encouraging word or a helpful hint whenever anyone in our group was going through an illness or struggling with a problem. She was my Secret Santa in 2017 and her generosity truly was heartwarming. Godspeed, dear Lea!

Lea, was a friend that I only knew in the quilt forum for Quilt in a Day, she loved quilting and her kittens. Her stories made me laugh and picture them doing the crazy things that kitties do. Lea you will be sorely missed by all of us on the Quilt in a Day group. Lea loved making so many things for other people. She was so kind, with giving of herself to others so freely. Heaven received an angel the day you left this earth. Sing with the angels and know you were loved by many. Joan

Lea will be missed so much. She was a very special person. I didn't know her in person but knew her online through Quilt In A Day forum. She was always so caring and giving. She always had words of encouragement for all of us. Her favorite thing was our Secret Santa and she really brightened it up with her excitement, I loved her enthusiasm! We all loved her stories of her kitties and often told her she should write short stories, kids would've loved them as we did. I'm so glad that she was a part of my life and I will miss her very much. God bless you Lea. I know you're no longer in pain and are making beautiful quilts and sewing up a storm in heaven and God is happy to have you home. Missing you dear friend.

My sincere condolences to Léa’s family. Léa was a dear member of the Quilt in a Day community. She was kind, and she was funny. She was compassionate—always with a caring word for friends in need of cheer. We will miss her stories of her kitties, her postings of daily life, the pictures of her kitties and of the lovely items she sewed, and hearing about her Canadian quilt guild which she loved as well. We are grateful to have known Léa and had her touch our lives across the miles. Her candle burned out much too soon. She is missed.
