Obituary of JOHN RICHARD ALEXANDER

John (Jack) Richard Alexander

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of John “Jack” Richard Alexander on October 5, 2018 at the age of 69 years. Jack leaves to mourn his beloved wife of 45 years, Patricia; and their children, Melissa (Brian), James and Ian.

He will be lovingly remembered by his sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Jack will also be remembered with fondness by his aunts, uncles, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his parents John and Shirley.

Jack was born on August 21, 1949 in Winnipeg where he lived his whole life. He spent the bulk of his adult life working for RockTenn and representing those he worked within the local union.

Family was a central part of Jack’s life and he was always there to offer any help that was needed, and his many talents never ceased to amaze. He enjoyed sports especially catching a Bomber, Jets or Blue Jays game, crossword puzzles and playing cribbage.

Jack passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family and we wish to acknowledge the care and kindness of the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital Emergency.

There will be a celebration of life on Friday, October 12 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the charity of your choice can be made.
