MICHAEL DRAPALA
With very heavy hearts we announce that Michael Drapala passed away suddenly on Monday, October 22, 2018.
Michael was born in Poland on February 12, 1925. He immigrated to Canada in 1948 with his parents and siblings after enduring many hardships during WWII. In 1950, Michael married Frances Olbert with whom he shared 68 years.
He is survived by his wife, Frances and daughter, Elizabeth Zarrillo (Joe). Left to mourn his loss are 2 grandchildren, Melanie (Cam) and Dean (Nancy) plus his 2 great grandchildren Zoey and Abby. He also is survived by his brother Ted (Jean) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Michael was predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Karoline and sister Josephine Maslanka.
Michael will be fondly remembered for his love of walking and taking great pride in his garden and well-groomed hedges.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Avenue. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery, 4387 Main Street.
Dad, I will love and remember you always. Rest in Peace.
