Obituary of VICTOR SILVA BRANCO
VICTOR SILVA BRANCO
It is with great sadness that the family of Victor Silva Branco announces his passing on December 5, 2018, after a short battle of cancer at age 70. Victor will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 38 years, Lorraine and his three children Ana, Victor and Nelson. Victor will also be fondly remembered and dearly loved by his two grandchildren Lucas and Julia. Victor leaves behind his son in-law Richard, who he loved as if he were his own son. Victor will also be forever remembered and loved by his numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
Victor, son of Franciso and Adelaide Branco was born in Resgais Torres Noves, Portugal. Victor was the youngest of 4 children, survived by his sisters Ilda (Custodio) Rodrigues, Alice (Antonio) Rodrigues and his predeceased sister Maria Lurdes (Luis) Caridade.
Victor was a general contractor for 35 plus years and in his career, his passion was building homes. Victor was able to fulfil his promise to his wife by building their last home in Sandy Bay. He spent his last years enjoying his large vegetable garden, spending time with friends and family and spoiling his two grandchildren. Victor was a gentle man with a generous heart ready to lend a helping hand to his family and friends. His charismatic smile and laughter was infectious and love to sing and whistle everywhere he went. Victor was loved and will be missed by us all.
Victor's funeral service will be held Friday, December 14, 2018 at 10:00am (viewing at 9:00am) at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church 737 Bannerman Avenue, followed by burial in Holy Family Cemetery 4355 Main Street.
