KATHERINE HALLIDAY
On September 29, 2012, Katherine Halliday, aged 100 years, passed away peacefully at the St. Joseph’s Residence.
Kay was born in Winnipeg and was a life-long resident of West Kildonan. She was fiercely independent and was able to remain in her home until the age of 95, when she suffered a fall. She resided at St. Joseph’s Residence for the last several years.
Kay was predeceased by her brothers Stephen, Harry and Bill and by sisters Alice, Nettie and Anne.
Kay will be fondly remembered by her brother-in-law Alan Malmgren and her nieces and nephews
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 4 at 1:00 pm in Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Interment will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Joseph’s who cared for Auntie Kay over the last few years.
If friends desire, donations in Kay’s memory may be made to a charity of their choice.
