Obituary of MIRANDA SUSAN DAY
MIRANDA SUSAN DAY
June 1, 1983 - January 12, 2019
Peacefully, with her family by her side, Miranda left us Saturday, January 12, 2019 from complications due to pneumonia.
She is survived by her parents Janet and David Day, brother Trevor (Mel), sister Katie (Cody), grandparents Fred and Anita Schmidt and nephews and niece Oliver, Aven and Luke and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. She is predeceased by grandparents John and Joyce Day and uncles Fred and Jigger Schmidt.
Miranda grew up and went to school in Transcona graduating from Murdoch MacKay Collegiate. She moved to St. Amant at the age of 22 where she made many friends including her best friend Aaron. Some of her favorite activities included shopping, swimming, driving her own wheel chair and outings like sailing, theatre, the zoo, festivals and movies. Miranda's contagious laugh and unique sense of humor endeared her to many. She so enjoyed Ollie, Aven and Luke and was always excited to see them.
To Miranda's second family at St. Amant we thank you for the special care and love and everyone on 3 east who were a big part of her life.
Many thanks to the wonderful doctors, nurses and other staff in ICU at Seven Oaks Hospital who gave their best compassionate care and treatment to our sister and daughter.
Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, January 20 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
If anyone wishes to make a donation in honor of Miranda’s life, the family suggest St. Amant Foundation.
