Obituary of JOHN MACINTOSH
JOHN MACINTOSH
It is with great sorrow we announce the sudden, peaceful passing of my brother John at the age of 78, at the Grace Hospital on Saturday, January 19, 2019
John will be missed by his brother Grant (Lorena), niece (Catharine), nephew (Sean and his daughter Isla). He was predeceased by his mother Nell, and father Allan.
John was an avid sports fan and enjoyed many golf holidays with his brother and parents. He followed a number of sport teams from various leagues with the San Francisco 49’ers being his favourite. He was also an avid traveller who travelled all over Europe and Asia and spent several years teaching school in Sydney and Melbourne Australia. He worked for the City of Calgary for over 30 years and after retirement he moved to Winnipeg to be closer to his brother and family. He loved his sister-in-law’s special Christmas and birthday barbeques.
A special thank you to Dr. Kramer, the nursing unit, and the various support people at the Grace Hospital that provided excellent care, understanding, and compassion for my brother. It was very much appreciated.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
