Obituary of MARY BOYKO
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mary Boyko, on February 4th, 2019 at the age of 96.
Mom was born in Odessa, SK and moved to Winnipeg when she married Peter Boyko, in 1944. Together they raised a family in River Heights with Mom working at Eaton's and Henderson Directories.
With Dad's retirement, they moved to Winnipeg Beach, enjoying the Legion, dances, bingo, gardening, friends and babysitting her only grandchild, Danny.
Mom moved multiple times following Dad's death in 1992. Since 2008 she resided at Concordia Village, where she was proud of her small world of independence and was an active resident. We would like to thank the home care workers for their invaluable assistance and brightening her day.
She leaves memories with her daughters, Dolores (Ken) and Deb (George), grandson Dan (Nancy), and great-grandsons Alex and Kenji, sister Betty, brothers Adam (Theresa), Tony, and numerous nieces and nephews.
As per Mom's wishes cremation has taken place and a family graveside service and burial will be held in the Spring.
Rest in Peace With Love
