Obituary of ANIBAL DE PONTE SIMAO
ANIBAL DE PONTE SIMAO
June 15, 1935 – February 28, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Anibal Simao on February 28, 2019 at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 83. Anibal was born June 15, 1935 to parents Anibal and Lurdes Simao in Sao Miguel, Acores.
Anibal was predeceased by his wife of 44 years, Maria Gloria Simao, and surviving sister Manuela Pimentel. Anibal will be sadly missed by his children Carlos Simao (Nancy) and Aires Simao (Sandy), Grandchildren Amanda (Wes), Kiera, Danica, and Dominic, Great grandchild Brice, Step-grandchildren Mitch, Jeff, and Ethan, and many more family and friends too many to name.
A very sincere thanks to our family for their heartfelt support during his last days. We would also like to extend thanks to the staff at St. Joseph’s Nursing Home and Seven Oaks Hospital for their compassionate care that was given.
“Those we love don’t go away
They walk beside us everyday
Unseen, unheard, but always near
Still loved, still missed and very dear.”
