She also leaves brothers Florentino (Susie) Joaquim (Rosa) Jose (Ermelinda) Fernando (Yvette) and sister Maria Jose (Antonio) as well as nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
Maria was predeceased by her father Antonio Morgadinho and mother Maria Joaquina.
Maria was born on April 17, 1940 in Silvares Fundao Portugal. She was the eldest of 6 children.
After marrying her husband they both left Portugal in search of a better life and worked in France and Australia before immigrating to Canada.
Maria was a very hard worker, who loved spending time feeding friends and family.
