December 1, 1946 – March 13, 2019

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Father Pius Ideh (Perry) on March 13, 2019 at the age of 72.

Left to cherish his memory are his 2 Daughters Celestina (Mohammed) and Stephanie (Edward), 1 Step Daughter Christine and 3 Step Sons Rob, Paul and Charlie. Pius also has 6 Grandchildren Raven, Princeton, Treasure, River, Hailey and Lucas.  As well as 13 Step Grandchildren Jordan, Nikki, Savannah, Hailey, Aeriel, Kristin, Danielle, Leslie, Jamie, Indiya, Maximus, Julian and Franklin.

Pius is pre deceased by his parents George and Lucy, His siblings Susannah, Andrew, John Alonso, Maria, Steven and his daughter Osomuso.

Pius was born in Zaira, Nigeria and he is the youngest of his 6 siblings.  He moved to Canada in the 70’s and studied at the University of Manitoba and Winnipeg.  After pursuing his studies he worked for many years as a Taxi Driver and owner his own cab until his retirement in 2002.

He loved every kind of sport, weather it was watching or playing. He was always intrigued, especially Soccer which he played for many years.  Pius loved spending time with his family and friends.  It was never a dull moment with Pius, he always spoke his mind but was not a push over!   He was a very kind man and never let a moment of Nurturing or parenting go to waste.

Daddy, you will be forever missing and never forgotten, Rest in Peace.  We love you!

Funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 13th at 11:30 am at Cropo Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.  1800 Day Street in Transcona, visitation commencing at 11:00am.  Interment to follow in the St Mary’s Polish National Cemetery at 360 McIvor Avenue.
