Obituary of LILLIAN EDITH MOLYNEUX
LILLIAN EDITH MOLYNEUX
It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Lillian Edith Molyneux on Sunday, October 7 of 2012 at St. Boniface Hospital.
Mom will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Dawn, two grandchildren Jordan Tocher and Ashley Vieira (Tony) and two great grandchildren Peyton and Blake, son Clive and sister Eleanor Jarvis.
Lil was predeceased by her parents Edwin George and Wanda Breitenfeld, her husband of 51 years Lawrence (Bill) Thomas Molyneux and her brother- in- law Arthur (Bud) Jarvis.
Mom was born in Germany, July 6 of 1925. She came to Canada at the age of 4 and spent her childhood growing up in the North End of Winnipeg. When she was old enough she worked in her father's bakery (Northwest Bakery on Arlington). At the end of WWII Mom met Dad and they married in 1949. After having her children Mom went to work for the Hudson's Bay Company retiring in 1988 after 30 years of service.
Lil was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mom and Dad loved travelling and spent many winters in Brownsville, Texas. For years Lil walked daily in Kildonan Park, no matter the weather. Afterwards she and Dad would join their Park friends in the Pavilion for coffee. Lil also enjoyed her years as president of the Hudson's Bay Retiree's. Mom was a very social person, loved people, was a great listener and story teller.
Softly in the morning
You heard a gentle call.
You took the hand God offered you.
And quietly left us all.
-Forever in our hearts
