Obituary of WLADYSLAWA SZYKOLUK
Wladyslawa (Gladys) Szykoluk
It is with love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Wladyslawa (Gladys) Szykoluk on May 18, 2019 at the Seven Oaks General Hospital, at the age of 91.
Gladys was predeceased by her parents Anna and Augustine Kemska, her sisters and brother-in-laws, Maria and Michael Bartschak, Amelia and Jack Molloy, Helen and John Bahrij, her parents-in law Olga and Steve Shykoluk and brother-in-laws Bill Hruszanyk and Peter Nedecky.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Ken, son John (Karen), daughter Helen, grandchildren, Kristen and James(Natasha) as well as sister-in-laws,brother-in-laws,nieces and nephews.
Gladys was born in Ushomir,Ukraine and came to Canada in 1950. She married Ken in 1951 in Winnipeg. She was kindhearted and devoted to family. She enjoyed gardening and hosting gatherings for family and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Fred Douglas Lodge and Seven Oaks General Hospital for their compassionate care provided to Gladys.
The funeral service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Monday, May 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m.with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Gladys to Fred Douglas Lodge, 1275 Burrows Ave, Winnipeg, R2X 0B8.
