Obituary of BEATRICE ADAMYK
BEATRICE ADAMYK
February 26, 1926 - June 16, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Beatrice Adamyk (nee Ostrowski) at Health Sciences Centre on June 16, 2019, at the age of 93.
Beatrice was predeceased by her husband, Andrew, in 2017. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Carol (Dan) Stanski, Myril (Sandy) Adamyk, Marvel (David) Scott; grandchildren, Craig Stanski, Lisa (Blaine) Parnell, Devin Stanski (Stacey Lamarche), Kristy (Clarence) Vigilance, Jesse (Holly) Adamyk, Carmen Scott, and 10 great grandchildren.
Mom was born and raised in Polonia, Manitoba. She and Dad farmed in Elk Ranch, raising their family and later moving to Winnipeg in 1974. Mom liked to be busy. She enjoyed cooking; cabbage rolls, perogies, borscht and butter tarts being her specialties and these were definitely family favourites. Relaxing for Mom, was knitting or crocheting. She enjoyed bingo, playing cards, family gatherings and rides in the country.
Mom's last months were spent at Metropolitan Kiwanis Courts. The family would like to extend a special thanks to staff, residents and her dear friend Pearl, for their care and friendship.
To honour Mom’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
