BONNIE MUDGE

November 26, 1950 - July 3, 2019

My darling wife of 48 years passed away on July 3^rd after battling cancer for 2¹/² years. Her last words to me were 'I love you' to which I replied 'I love you too sweetheart'. We are physically separated from each other now, but she will remain in my heart and my mind forever.

She was a wonderful wife, a loving mother to our son Jason, and a proud grandmother to our three grandchildren, Luke, Lilia and Naveen.

Our son and grandchildren were the joy of her life. Despite enduring great pain, a phone call from any one of them never failed to lift her spirits and to bring her immediate joy. She loved them beyond words and always looked forward to seeing them in Calgary.

Jason and his wife Rashi took Bonnie to Florida and later on to San Francisco. She had travelled little during her life and she relished these trips and the good times she spent with our son and his family.

Bonnie loved gardening and every spring she would plant a flower garden. We spent hours together searching for just the 'right' flowers which she'd care for and nurture throughout the summer months. Her pride and joy was growing pink roses.

Bonnie had a tremendous love for animals. Over the years we had hamsters, guinea pigs, rabbits and our beloved two dogs. Twiggy came to us in 1998 and Brandy in 2012. They brought Bonnie many years of happiness. She loved being outdoors, and regardless of the weather, she enjoyed going for morning and afternoon walks throughout the neighbourhood with them. At Bonnie's request both of the dogs are now with her in perpetuity.

She was predeceased by her mother Anne, father Percy, brother Brian and sister Judy.

She is survived by her husband Larry, son Jason (Rashi), sisters Barb (Jerry) and Pat (Brian), her three grandchildren Luke, Lilia and Naveen and her best friend for many decades Sherolyn (Paul).
