Obituary of DANIEL SEOANE NEVES
DANIEL SEOANE NEVES
June 10th, 1975 – September 17th, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Seoane Neves on September 17th, 2019 in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 44.
Daniel is survived by his grandmother, Maria Del Carmen Presas, his parents, Maria Teresa Neves and Americo Henrique Neves, his wife Maria Manuela Sousa, his children, Francisco and Clara, his brothers, Mark and Henrique Neves.
Daniel was born on June 10th, 1975 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. In 1978, Daniel, along with his family, moved to Moitas Venda, Portugal. Living in a small town allowed Daniel a lot of freedom. Even at a young age, Daniel loved the outdoors and would spend hours outside exploring with his friends and cousins. In his younger years, Daniel and his bothers would spend most of their summers in Ferrol, Spain, with their grandparents. Daniel completed the fourth grade in Portugal before the family moved back to Winnipeg in 1985. Daniel graduated from Shaftesbury High School in 1993. After taking a course at Winnipeg South Tech, Daniel enrolled at Red River College where he completed the Design Drafting Technician Program. Shortly thereafter, Daniel moved to Portugal where he worked at Construçoes Casimiro in Mira de Aire for several years. In 2011, Daniel graduated from the University of Manitoba with a master’s degree in Landscaping Architecture. For the last several years he worked for Trek Geotechnical.
Daniel and Manuela met in 2009 and were married in 2012 in Ponta Delgada, Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal. Soon after they married, they welcomed their son, Francisco in 2013 and then daughter Clara, in 2016. Daniel worked hard to care and provide for his family. There was nothing he wouldn’t do to make sure his family’s needs were met. Daniel was kind and generous. He was creative and had many hobbies from, master chef, gardening, apparel designer, landscaper, artist, music DJ and furniture maker. Daniel was very handy just like his late grandfather and he took pride in being able to fix things. He was a passionate soccer fan, who enjoyed watching all games, specifically the Seleçao, Real Madrid and Juventus.
Daniel’s memorial is scheduled for Saturday, September 21st at 3:30 p.m.at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street
In lieu of flowers, Daniel requested that donations be made into a trust for his children, Francisco and Clara through any TD Bank (Acct: 6433998, Transit: 66447). As well, a Go Fund Me page has been set up.
