Obituary of ANNA PINTARICS
ANNA PINTARICS
(nee PRÉMECZ)
May 13,1934 - September 18, 2019
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Anna Pintarics on September 18, 2019. She passed away in her sleep peacefully at Golden Links Lodge.
Anna was predeceased by her infant daughter Ida (1958), her husband István (1989), her parents (Borbála and József) and her brothers (József and Márton).
She is survived by her niece (Mária), nephews (József, Gyula and Gábor) and their families, along with numerous relatives in Canada and Hungary.
Anna was born in Tótszentmárton, Hungary on May 13, 1934. She married István in 1951. They left Hungary after the 1956 revolution and stayed in Belgium until 1961, when they decided to immigrate to Canada. Arriving to Winnipeg they were welcomed by the Hungarian Roman Catholic community. They became actively involved with the Hungarian Church. Anna was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ladies Auxiliary and the Hungarian Kapisztrán Folk Ensemble's choir. Her renowned cooking and baking will be missed by many.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff of Golden Links Lodge. Their caring and compassion made a big difference in Anna's life during her final years.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 25 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Hungarian Roman Catholic Parish, 365 Burnell Street with Rev. Diosdado Parrenas officiating. Interment to follow at St. Mary's Cemetery on Osborne St.
