Obituary of PALMA PULCIANO
PALMA PULCIANO
May 12, 1937- October 2, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Palma Pulciano (Nanna), 82 of Winnipeg, passed away October 2, 2019 with her family by her side. She was born to the late Angelo and Margherita, May 12, 1937, in Casamassima, Bari, Italy.
She married Giuseppe Pulciano in 1963, and they lived in Italy, Switzerland, and Germany, before immigrating to Winnipeg in 1972 in the hopes of providing greater opportunities to their three children and generations to come. The sacrifice of leaving family and friends in their native Italy speaks volumes of their dedication to their children.
Palma was predeceased by her loving husband Giuseppe in 2008, and two of her brothers. She is survived by three children, Frank Pulciano (Pam), Adele Johnson (Richard), and Margaret Haugen (Troy) of Winnipeg. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Miguel, Nigel, Dominique, Riley, Dyllan, Janelle, Sullivan, Tessa and Carter, two sisters, two brothers, and many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Palma was proud of her family, and especially adored her grandchildren. She loved cooking, baking, gardening, going for walks with her friends, and spending Sundays in the summer at Gimli, MB with friends and family.
A private Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Parish with Fr. Michel Boutilier, S.J. officiating, with the burial taking place at Green Acres Memorial Gardens at a later date.
A special thank you to all the wonderful staff at Calvary Place Personal Care Home, and the doctors and nurses at Saint Boniface Hospital E6. In lieu of flowers, a donation in support of Parkinson Canada (parkinson.ca), would gratefully be appreciated.
