JAMES M. RUSSELL

September 11, 1926 – November 1, 2019

James passed away peacefully at Grace Hospital on November 1, 2019.

Born in Carluke, Lanarkshire Scotland, he emigrated to Canada with his family while still young.  As a young man, he served as a paratrooper in WWII.  Settling down in Winnipeg he married and enjoyed many years at the cottage in Lac du Bonnet while working for Winnipeg Hydro until he retired in 1985.  He was predeceased by his wife Margaret Russell (Wurster) in 2014 and is survived by his partner Fran Mills of Winnipeg and sister Jean Mensforth of Peterborough, Ontario along with numerous nephews and nieces.  He will be greatly missed.
