MARIA LEONILDE BENTO

Peacefully on November 7th, 2019 at the age of 71 years old, Maria Leonilde Bento passed away with her family by her side.

Maria Leonilde was born on November 19, 1947 and raised in São Miguel Açores, Portugal. She immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada in 1969.

Leonilde is survived by her husband of 50 years, Daniel Bento and her 5 children Denny, Bonnie (John), Debbie (Jeff), Nancy (Chris) and Brian (Amanda).

Leonilde will also be fondly remembered by her nine grandchildren, Sarah, Lucas, Marcus, Maxim, Daniella, Matthew, Alexis,  Alia and Leiya.

Leonilde was a woman of strong faith. She had a welcoming presence and made everyone she met feel like they were family. She always had a kind word for everyone whom she met.

She was a kind, generous woman who touched the lives of so many people without realizing it.

She had a friendly personality and always made people around her laugh.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff at St. Boniface Hospital.

Family and Friends are invited to give their condolences on Tuesday, November 12 at 7:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin Street.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 13 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin Street.
