Obituary of VINCENZINO CARNEVALE
Vincenzino (Vince) Carnevale
February 27, 1930 - November 19, 2019
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our father Vincenzino. Our father was predeceased by his wife Francesca, parents Luigi and Maria Antonia Carnevale, brother Guiseppe and sister Franca Tocci.
Vincenzino is survived by his five children, Maria (Agostino) Salemi, Mafalda (Eugenio) Quadraccia, Luke (Janice), Carmela (Francois) Pelletier and Tony (Colleen) as well ten grandchildren, Philip, Vince, Angela, David, Vanessa, Marc, Lindsay, Mitchell, Lia and Julia along with five great grandchildren Domenic, Damon, Ethan, Liam and Sofia. As well as his sisters Enza (Angelo) Gesualdo, Fernanda Cuconati in Italy, Rita Capitano, and brothers, Silvio (Teresa), Pasquale (Gina) and many nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy.
Our Father was born in Calabria, Italy and immigrated to Winnipeg in early 1959. He worked very hard for four years in order to bring his wife and four children to Canada in 1963. Over the next 32 years Father and Mom together worked just as hard in order for all their children to help achieve the Canadian dream.
Father was very proud of his independence and up until the last few weeks, he was still able to live on his own.
Thank you for all that you have given us. We love you and will miss you.
The family would like to thank all the staff at St. Boniface Hospital for their compassion and patience.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association of Canada or to a charity of your choice.
Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Ave. Reverend Father Sam Argenziano celebrant. Viewing will be held half hour prior to the Funeral Mass. Entombment will follow in Garden Chapel Mausoleum, Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.
