RITA LEOST
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother and sister Rita Leost.
Rita passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving husband and daughters on Friday, December 6, 2019 at St. Boniface Hospital. She will be greatly missed by her husband of 49 years Edgar, daughters Claudette, Michelle, Nicole (Brent); grandchildren Karen (Cody), Evan (Kasia),Lance, Jayda, Noah, Paige, great-grandchildren Ethan, Nyah and Lucas; her brothers and sisters; many nieces, nephews and friends.
Rita's ultimate joys in life came from her family and faith.
Thank you to Father Rene, Father Paul and Father Dominic for offering spiritual comfort to Rita and family throughout her brief illness. A special thank you to Father Rene who prayed with Rita and her family as she found peace with her heavenly father. The family would also like to thank the many friends and family members who offered their prayers during this difficult time.
The family would like to thank the nurses on the third-floor unit 5 at Seven Oaks Hospital, Doctor Codlee, Seven Oaks Hospital Urgent Care nurse Ryan and the many nurses and doctors in the MICU at St. Boniface Hospital. Rita was treated with care and compassion for which the family is truly grateful.
Prayers will be said on Wednesday, December 11 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 12 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Laurent Parish in St. Laurent. Interment to follow in St. Laurent Parish Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Laurent Parish.
