Obituary of GIOVANNI PESCATORE
GIOVANNI PESCATORE
Peacefully on Sunday, December 22, 2019 at the age of 82 years, our beloved father passed away.
Giovanni was predeceased by his wife Assunta, his sisters Giusepina, Fortuna and his brothers Giuseppe, Modestino and Antonio in Italy. Giovanni leaves to mourn his daughter Rosa Iandolo (Bruno), son Pasquale (Ginette) and daughter Giovanna Faria (Joe) grandchildren; Marianna, Sylvio, Matteo and Dante.
Giovanni was born January 10, 1937 in Torelli, Mercogliano Italy to Pasquale and Rosa Pescatore. Born into a family of five, Giovanni grew up in a small town in Italy. He experienced the tough recessionary times of life during the 1940s and 1950s. He married his wife Assunta D’Argenio in 1959 in Italy and came to Canada in 1960 after serving in the Italian Military to live, love and raise a family.
Giovanni was a hard-working laborer/machinist who worked in various roles with CN Rail, CP Rail, Varta Batteries and Dominion Tanners and retired after 35 years. Giovanni loved to hunt, fish, cook, make wine, tend to his large garden and enjoy time with family and friends.
