Obituary of ROSIE FRANCINE ISABEL WILSON

ROSIE FRANCINE ISABEL WILSON January 13, 2004 - December 19, 2019 Rosie joined our family when she was seven months old. From the beginning, Rosie brought pure love and joy into our lives. Soon after coming home, Rosie was brought along to every sporting event of her siblings. Whether it was at hockey rinks or volleyball courts, it didn't take long for her huge smile and happy disposition to win over the hearts of everyone she met. She truly was a gift to all who knew her. Rosie attended St. Alphonsus School. She loved every single day at St. Al's. Rosie played on the school volleyball team, sang in the choir, participated in the school plays and loved her cooking classes with Mrs. Whitney. Thank you to her school nurses - Judy, Leona, Stephanie and Morgan. You know in your hearts how much Rosie loved you. She developed a deep love for her faith, for the school staff, but most especially for her friends. You were her world! As much happiness as she brought to us, many things brought Rosie joy as well, including: travelling to Hawaii, Disney World, and Mexico (especially safaris with her Uncle Al), swimming in the pool with her cousins, spending time in the climbing tree with Eliza, playing on the monkey bars, horseback riding, Grey's Anatomy, Slurpees, the colour purple, sleepovers with Ruth, playing street hockey with her brothers, and doing anything and everything with her sister Sarah. Her ultimate joy, though, was her little brother Robbie. Rosie loved when our house was full of people. It didn't matter which group of friends or family was over, she was right in the middle of the action, talking and laughing with everyone in the room. She was a light that could not be dimmed. Rosie's life was blessed by the loving efforts of her medical care team. The doctors, nurses, respiratory therapists and child life specialists from Children's Hospital went above and beyond their professional duties to support Rosie and bring her happiness. The many phone conversations to ease her anxiety, laughing and talking until 2:00 a.m., painting her nails, braiding her hair, staff water fights, making cookies in her hospital bed, sending ice cream to her in Edmonton - all of these beautiful acts were so appreciated. Jill Woods, Maggie Allen, Lynda Koga Wray and Gale Bonin, please know the special bond she had with each of you will not be broken. Judy Borne and Don MacLennan and their children gave Rosie a second home as her respite family. She became the adored baby of their family. Rosie made countless loving memories with their friends and their families in Stonewall, Boissevain, Ashern and Minneapolis. Thank you, Don and Judy, and to your big loving family, for all the love you gave her. We would like to thank the Edmonton Ronald McDonald House, South East Child and Family Services, the Stollery Children's Hospital Lung Transplant Program, and everyone involved on her medical team for the exceptional care they gave Rosie. There aren't words to describe how grateful we are for everything you did for her. A special thank you to Dr. Murray Kesselman for giving us 15 years with our beautiful girl. Rosie is survived by her birth family: Rosetta Scott, Martin Wilson and family. Parents: Michelle and Bob Davison. Siblings: Joel Davison (Eliza), Wade Davison (Samie), John Wozney, Sarah Wozney (Kristopher), Carter Wozney, Blayne Peters, Robbie Uppik. Grandparents: Julia and John Lemoine. Aunts: Angie Ziefflie (Bob), Carla Whelan (Tim), Vanessa Ellis Fletcher (Tim), Pat Korpesho. Uncles: Jason Lemoine (Shannon), Maurice Thiessen, Alan Davison (Vanessa). Cousins: Karissa Ziefflie, Jude Lemoine, Taylor Kirschner, Macy, Caiden and Sawyer Whelan, Finley Fletcher, Falynn Korpesho, Lindsay Bell (Derek, Sophie, Owen) Reid Korpesho, Hunter Davison. Nephews: Aydan and Benjamin Davison. Rosie was welcomed at the gates of heaven by her brother Todd Davison, Grandma and Grandpa Davison, Grandma Sandra Lemoine, and her Uncles Dave Korpesho and Dave Ziefflie.
