Obituary of VICTORIA ALEXANDRA MOWAT
VICTORIA ALEXANDRA MOWAT (TUMAK)
May 27, 1951-January 13, 2020
It's with great sadness & broken hearts our loving wife, mother, nanny, sister, sister in-law and good friend gained her "Angel Wings" on January 13.
She leaves behind her husband Dave and their daughters Melanie (Henry) and Tracy (Dallas) and her grandchildren Donavon, Alyssa, Dallas Jr and Kayden. As well as her 3 sisters, 2 brothers, sister and brother in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. Nanny had nicknames for her grandchildren (Dono, Princess, Little D and My Gift). She was predeceased by her parents, 2 brothers, family members and good friends.
Vicky was born on May 27,1951 in Hudson Bay, Saskatchewan and in her early years they moved to Winnipeg where she grew up in the North End. Met the love of her life Dave in High School and they were high school sweethearts and recently celebrated their 46th wedding anniversary.
Vicky had a love for sewing, gardening, animals and baking. Known for her "butter tarts" every Christmas and loved baking with all her grandchildren. Nanny was their No 1 fan cheering them on in all their sports.
We want to thank the nurses at the HSC (Micu/ICU) for all their love, compassion and care over the last several weeks.
Donations in Vicky's memory can be made to Heart and Stroke or Winnipeg Human Society.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 18 at 6:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St, Winnipeg, MB.
