Obituary of JOSE ANTONIO FIGUEIREDO
JOSE ANTONIO FIGUEIREDO
July 24, 1950 - January18, 2020
Born in Santa Maria, Azores
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father and husband Jose Figueiredo. He passed away peacefully in hospital, with his wife by his side in the early hours of Saturday, January 18, 2020.
Jose is survived by his loving wife Aida Figueiredo, who was always there for him and admired him deeply. Jose was a devoted father and grandfather to Jason (Cathy) Emma and Brynn, along with Mark (Catarina) Mateo and Dante. Although not the eldest, he was always the big brother to Ines Galvão (Gilbert), Maria Figueiredo (Antonio), and Elisabeth Reis (Jose). Further survived by brother-in-law Paul Travis (Sarah), sisters-in-law Tina and Maria, many nephews, nieces, Godchildren, cousins, and numerous friends.
Prayers/Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 22 from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N., Winnipeg. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 23 at 10:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.
The family has requested that in lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Canadian Kidney Foundation.
