Obituary of JUDITH (JUDY) ANN FOGEL
JUDITH (JUDY) ANN FOGEL
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Judith (Judy), Ann Fogel, 75, of Winnipeg, MB, on February 7th, 2020 at Misericordia Health Centre.
Judy is survived by her sister Sharron Koffman. Nieces, Debra Koffman and Maureen Magura (Chris) & Nephew, Terry Koffman (Julie), her Aunt Evelyn Cohen (Sam, deceased) and many cousins and great Nieces and Nephews. Judy is predeceased by her parents Betty (Ostrofsky) & Ted Fogel.
Judy was born in Winnipeg, June 30th,1944. She was the youngest daughter to Betty and Ted.
Judy attended St. Johns High School. After graduation she attended the University of Winnipeg. She completed a degree in Education and in June of 1963 was awarded an Interim First Class Teachers Certificate by the Department of Education. Judy went on to teach for a brief time and then chose a different career path in which she held several positions in the business office management field. Judy finished her career in the employment of Canadian Linen. In 1995 Judy moved into her newly built condo which became her sanctuary. Judy was happiest and most at peace in her new home. It was the place she loved most in all the world. She was very proud of her home and adored the people in her condo community so much so, she became involved with the Board of Directors of the Condo Association. Being involved this way was engaging and afforded her the opportunity to get to know her fellow board members and neighbors. Her condo community meant everything to her. It was her family and support system, for which she was infinitely grateful.
We would like to thank the many people involved with Judy’s care and comfort. The Grace Hospital ER nurses and doctors. The amazing nurses on the 2nd floor at the Grace. The wonderful nurses and health care aids from the 5th floor at the Misericordia, for their kindness, exceptional care and professionalism in Judy’s last weeks and days.
You are now out of pain Miss Judy. Rest in peace. You are loved and will be missed.
