Obituary of ANGELINE KRUSHEL

ANGELINE J. KRUSHEL (LEIDING) NOVEMBER 6, 1943 – NOVEMBER 6, 2012 It is with great sadness and sorrow we announce the passing of Angeline J. Krushel, wife, mother and grandmother on her 69th birthday, in the arms of her family at the Riverview Health Centre. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Herb of 51 years, her daughter Debbie (children Michael and Brandon), son Dwayne and his wife Heather (children Ethan and Samuel), son Darren and his wife Cathy (child Jessica); mother Tina Leiding; sister Cindy Fillion. Angeline was predeceased by her father Jake E. Leiding in 1992, mother-in-law Susan Krushel in 1987, and father-in-law Herman Krushel in 2009. Angie was born in Winkler, MB, the eldest of two daughters; she grew up attending school in Winkler and met the love of her life Herb Krushel from Morden in 1959, and married in 1961. Angie and Herb moved to Winnipeg in 1963 where they stayed and raised their children. Angie was a devoted Christian and homemaker who took great pride in making a happy, comfortable home that was always full of love. She adored and loved her grand children greatly and loved her dog Joey, caring for his every need. She loved taking care of her flowers. Angie and Herb celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 7, 2011, the month before she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Mom put up a courageous year-long battle against ovarian cancer, doing everything she could to stay with her family as long as possible, and even though she was extremely weak she completed her knitting so all three of her children’s families could have a beautiful afghan that will become family heirlooms to cherish. The family would like to express their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and staff at CancerCare Manitoba, Women’s Hospital, St. Boniface Hospital and Riverview Health Centre. Funeral Services will held Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at Inkster. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be sons Dwayne and Darren Krushel, grandsons Michael and Brandon Brown, Ethan and Samuel Krushel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Angie’s memory to CancerCare Manitoba.
