Obituary of OLGA RYBUCK
OLGA RYBUCK
1931 - 2020
Olga passed away peacefully following a brief illness on March 6, 2020. She is survived by her daughters; Colleen (Peter) Weppler, Donna (Ray) Summers, and Loretta (Rob) MacDougall, in addition to her grandchildren; Ryan (Alison), Justin (Melissa), Ashley (Derek), Jessica (Dennis), Alana, Sydney and Jane and great-grandchildren; Haley, Sarah and Matthew.
Olga was everything to her family. She was a strong matriarch and loved her family fiercely. Olga grew up as an only child, and the legacy of her life was building a family full of strong and independent daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mum (Granny) was very involved in the lives of her family. She attended innumerable recitals, assemblies, graduations, birthdays and anniversaries, and was a constant source of support and unconditional love.
Olga was very caring and gave freely of her time to her family and the community. Olga volunteered at Good Neighbors Active Living Center and Holy Family Nursing Home. She was very active and was an avid golfer and mall-walker. She loved to travel and enjoyed spending time in Arizona, and summers at West Hawk Lake. Olga was loved and will be missed by many. In lieu of flowers or donations, we ask that you take a moment to hug your parent, child, grandchild, or friend. Time is precious.
A service celebrating Olga’s life will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB, on Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.
“God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not to be.
So he put his arms around you,
And he whispered, “come to me”.
With tearful eyes we watched you,
And saw you pass away;
Although we loved you dearly,
We could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us,
He only takes the best.”
