Obituary of Daniel Mokelkie
Daniel Mokelkie
Feb 1, 1959 to April 15, 2020.
Suddenly on April 15, 2020, Daniel Mokelkie passed away at his residence in Winnipeg at age 61. He was predeceased by his brother Jimmy, his father John, and Mother Thelma. Danny is survived by his sister Alanna, and brothers Ron, Lanard, Lorne, Melvin, and Anthony, his friend Kevin Buckley, and his many nieces and nephews.
"Danny," or as his dad would call him, "Danello," was a hands-on guy and could fix anything from cars to radios and TV's. From a young age, Danny would tinker and fix electronics showing his keen aptitude. After graduating from Red River College, he worked as a mechanic and later operated his own appliance repair company for many years. Danny always brought life and fun into the group with his humor and sharp wit. Always willing to help, his friends and family would always call on him saying, "if you need something fixed, call Danny."
Danny, your sister and brothers will always miss you, but you will never be forgotten. You will always be our brother and John and Thelma's son. Rest in peace now.
A private viewing was held at Cropo Chapel on Thursday, April 23 with service and interment following at St. Paul's Lutheran cemetery near Steinbach.
